Role Summary/Purpose

The CFO for Healthcare EGM is responsible for providing overall finance leadership in the region - to include both commercial and operational performance. GE Healthcare EGMis responsible for over $500M of annualized revenue.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Translate concepts, develop strategy, implement change, create programs responsive to external environment
  • Lead the development, implementation and measurement of operation plans and participate in their successful execution
  • Ensure key processes and controls are in place to support a world class financial operation
  • Partner with CEO and other businesses and finance leaders to drive profitable growth and meet region targets providing insight and decision-making support
  • Communicate business performance and identify growth accelerators
  • Provide business performance analytics to identify financial trends, highlight risk and opportunities and ensure operational coordination
  • Drive financial performance improvement initiatives throughout business (cost reduction, asset management, capital efficiency, productivity, simplification, etc.) …
  • Recommend and influence needed actions to maximize cash, profitability and risk management
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on investments, restructuring, acquisitions, and other projects as required
  • Identify, develop and promote regional finance talent … Recruit, mentor and develop Finance talents

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration and ~15 years financial work experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience managing a multi-functional Finance organization
  • Strong knowledge of GE Healthcare financial and commercial operating systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and drive change while working across all levels, functions, and regions
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to add value to operating teams
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute concrete action plans
  • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure
  • Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment
  • Fluent in English
Desired Characteristics

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Finance is preferred
  • Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP), Experienced Financial Leadership Program (EFLP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS); or graduate of other financial leadership programs
  • Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma
  • Certified Public Accountant is preferred
